As a Principal SAP S/4 IT Analyst Finance & Management Accounting here at Honeywell, you will leverage your deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA finance and management accounting modules to design, implement, and optimize enterprise financial systems that drive business efficiency and accuracy. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless integration and alignment of financial processes with business objectives, supporting strategic decision-making and operational excellence.
You will report directly to our Director of IT and you’ll work out of our Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA location on a Hybrid work schedule.
Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite Monday – Friday.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead SAP FI/CO solution design, configuration, and delivery with extensive hands-on expertise across core finance and controlling processes.
- Drive SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation programs using SAP Activate and Agile methodologies, ensuring alignment with business goals and best practices.
- Configure and support key finance areas including New GL, document splitting, parallel ledgers, Asset Accounting (Universal Asset Accounting), FSCM, Product Costing, Material Ledger, and CO-PA.
- Oversee end-to-end integration of SAP FI/CO with SD, MM, PP, and PS modules, ensuring seamless cross-functional business processes.
- Implement and support SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions including Universal Journal and SAP Fiori applications.
- Lead integration of SAP S/4HANA with external systems, including tax engines such as Vertex, ensuring compliance and accurate tax processing.
- Provide solution architecture guidance, stakeholder collaboration, and governance across complex finance transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- 15+ years of SAP FI/CO experience with extensive hands-on configuration expertise
- Experience leading/Consulting S/4HANA transformation programs
- Experience in agile delivery models or SAP Activate methodology
- Strong proficiency in following core areas:
- New GL, Document Splitting, and Parallel Ledgers
- FSCM (Credit Management, Collections, Dispute Management)
- Asset Accounting, including S/4HANA Universal Asset Management
- Product Costing and Material Ledger
- CO-PA (Profitability Analysis)
- Deep understanding of integration with SAP modules such as SD, MM, PP, and PS
- Proven experience with:
- S/4HANA Finance and Universal Journal
- SAP Fiori applications
- Integration with downstream and connected applications
- Mandatory experience integrating SAP S/4HANA with an external tax engine such as Vertex

- Record-to-Report (R2R)
- Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
- Order-to-Cash (O2C)
- Solid experience in:
- Cost accounting
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions with minimal supervision
- Experience working closely with finance stakeholders to drive process improvements
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence and drive decisions across business and IT teams
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Demonstrated leadership experience in cross-functional and global project environments
- Proven ability to lead workshops, solution design discussions, and governance forums
Relocation support may be provided.
Travel Requirement: Up to 50%.
