Position Summary:

Continental General Insurance Company is seeking a highly experienced Principal Investment Accountant to serve as a technical leader within the Investment Accounting function. This role will provide strategic oversight of investment accounting and reporting for a complex insurance investment portfolio, including fixed income securities, structured products, equities, mortgage loans, derivatives, private equity, hedge funds, and other alternative investments.

As the organization's subject matter expert for insurance investment accounting, the Principal Investment Accountant will lead the interpretation and application of Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP), NAIC guidance, and insurance regulatory requirements while ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and operational scalability. This position will partner closely with executive leadership, Investment Operations, Treasury, Actuarial, Financial Reporting, Risk Management, and external stakeholders to support investment strategy, regulatory compliance, and enterprise growth.
