Position Purpose:

The Manager, Pricing Strategy will provide subject matter expertise, project management, and analytical support to the development and execution of Pricing Strategies. The Manager will understand the needs of constituencies, including the merchants, Pro team, and our subsidiaries, to develop and test hypothesis as well as to work with the development team to prioritize IT development. The Manager will work with cross functional partners, including marketing, ops, strategy and others to ensure end to end thinking on strategy and execution. The Pricing Manager will manage Senior Analysts in an effort to support corporate level pricing initiatives and advocate for implementing pricing best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

50% Develop relationships with cross functional partners to collaborate and to determine company goals and objectives, conduct standard and ad hoc analysis to identify key drivers of performance, recommend pricing decisions and strategies that will improve category performance and develop financial plans that reflect pricing changes. Typical analysis will include:

Develop executive-level presentations that summarize analysis including historical performance, strategic rationale underpinning pricing decisions and expected financial impact. Report out to all levels of management. Accountable for accuracy, thoroughness, thought process, timeliness and viability of recommendations.

50% Develop the necessary communication to leadership to gain alignment and partner with IT and other cross functional teams to prioritize efforts that support the execution of strategies. Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. Planning, monitoring and reviewing work of subordinates is required. This may include direct supervision of a shift or the coordination of multiple work groups. Makes recommendations concerning selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development.

This position reports to Sr Manager Pricing

This position has 2-3 direct reports

Travel Requirements:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
