Job Description:
Highly analytical role that will report to the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager with a focus on pricing, quoting strategy, and customer / product profitability. This role will work hand-in-hand with both market-facing and operational personnel as the lynchpin who helps develop pricing that appropriately reflects market dynamics and operational / cost realities. In addition, this role will support critical activities that impact pricing, e.g., historic profitability analyses, supply vs. demand analyses & optimization, and customer purchasing incentive programs. We design and manufacture innovative, sustainable packaging components for cold-chain shipping of food and pharmaceutical products. Essential Job Functions:
- Generating accurate, timely quotes for all customers, product configurations, and deal characteristics
- Analyzing large amounts of production and cost data to ensure costs are accurately reflected in pricing and enhance the accuracy of expected / priced profitability
- Maintaining existing and developing new pricing models for all product and production configurations
- Evaluating the financial impact of pricing actions and strategies
- Auditing sales order data to ensure compliance and accuracy in customer pricing
- Developing and implementing TemperPack’s pricing infrastructure, systems, and procedures
- Maintaining pricing and pricing assumptions databases to identify trends and pricing optimization opportunities
- Generating periodic reporting packs to evaluate ongoing pricing and profitability by customer, product, etc.
- Evaluating new demand opportunities to determine financial, operational, and market dynamics that will impact the attractiveness of such opportunities
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- 3-7 years of experience in a finance role
- Prior experience in a pricing, cost, or data analytics role
- Preference for candidates with experience in manufacturing organizations
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university- preferred.
- Preference for candidates with experience working with outbound sales teams
- Excellent Excel modeling skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Prior knowledge or experience in ERP / other SaaS/BI tools
- Comfort synthesizing large amounts of data
- Strong attention to detail
- Collaborative approach with first-rate interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of achievement at various personal and professional stages / levels
