Job overview

As a Pricing Analyst, you will support our pricing strategies and revenue optimization efforts. Building upon foundational pricing knowledge, you will help analyze data, monitor market trends, and provide insights that contribute to better pricing decisions. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Pricing & Marketplaces and cross-functional teams to help maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market.

Here are the specifics:

• Data Analysis: Conduct guided analysis of pricing data to identify opportunities, trends, and customer behavior patterns.
• Pricing Strategy Support: Assist in the development and refinement of pricing strategies that align with business objectives and market demands.
• Price Optimization: Help monitor and analyze pricing performance, including margin assessments and the effectiveness of price adjustments.
• Competitive Analysis: Gather and compile competitive intelligence on competitor pricing strategies and market positioning to inform pricing decisions.
• Forecasting and Modeling: Support the maintenance of pricing models, reports, and tools to forecast the potential impact of pricing changes on revenue and margins.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as Merchandising, Purchasing, Marketing, and others) to ensure alignment and transparency in pricing initiatives.
• Performance Monitoring: Participate in the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of pricing strategies, analyzing results and recommending adjustments as needed to drive desired outcomes.
• Compliance Oversight: Support the management of Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) compliance programs, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and addressing any violations.
• Data Integrity: Assist in maintaining data accuracy and integrity in pricing databases, with meticulous attention to detail.

Work Environment

• Ability to rarely lift and carry <25 lbs. and rarely push/pull up to 50 lbs. 
• Work may be performed while either standing or sitting at a desk, thus the amount of sitting and standing can be from rare to constant, dependent upon the employee’s preference. 
• Rare walking, bending, reaching, and twisting. 
• Frequent pinching, grasping and fine manipulation with fingers to use computer.
• Heated and air-conditioned indoor office work.
• This role offers a hybrid work environment, based in our Lincoln, NE office, with scheduling flexibility based on team priorities and business needs.

What you’ll need to succeed in this position:

• Bachelor’s degree in a field such as mathematics, statistics, economics, marketing, finance, or business administration is preferred.
• Interest in or exposure to the automotive, retail, or e-commerce industry.
• Familiarity with pricing concepts such as elasticity, competitive analysis, or margin management.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to derive actionable insights from data.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to help explain data-driven insights to team members.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and a willingness to learn quickly.
• Demonstrated self-motivation and comfort working in a hybrid setting with some independent work.

• Proven advanced proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables, charts, and formulas).
