The pricing team sits within the Merchandise Control team and is a key function for the Global ARI teams. This team manages an independent price checking agency who price check over ½ a million prices a year so we know our price position versus our competitors and can ensure our prices comply with our price policies in the Locations we operate in. The Price function also ensures we communicate our great prices to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Auditing & helping produce the monthly price reports.
- Auditing & helping produce quarterly price reports.
- Analysing price movements in the Locations we operate in.
- Working on communicating our great prices to customers ensuring our message is clear, impactful and legally robust.
- Helping on the price element of new airport bids.
- Managing & auditing adhoc price check requests.
- Managing the monthly price file we send to the price checking agency.
- Working closely with the price checking agency ensuring they are performing in terms of KPIs and managing deliverables within an agreed timeframe.
- Ensuring quality and timeliness of reporting, data, analysis, insight and intelligence.
- Challenge & drive improvements in current processes.
Qualifications
A minimum of 2 – 3 years’ experience working in a pricing or analytical role – preferably in Retail, FMCG or Travel Retail.
A third level degree in a finance, business or analytics related discipline.
Proven analytical and numerical experience and critical thinking skills are required.
Excellent communication skills with experience in presenting complex data clearly.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of international pricing dynamics, including tax-free pricing, currency exchange, and regional compliance.
Strong Excel experience.
The ability to build and manage strong relationships with senior stakeholders in the business, both in different functions and in different geographical locations.
Take a proactive approach to work and can work off your own initiative to scrutinise data and come up with suggestions.
