Plant Controller

The Plant Controller supports operations through FP&A and accounting leadership including close, budgeting, reporting, audit support, compliance, SOX, and special projects.

Responsibilities

• Review key GL accounts; investigate variances vs. history and budget.

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and subsidiary ledgers monthly.

• Support month-end/year-end close, cash flow reporting, and executive financial/KPI presentations.

• Coordinate audit support with the CFO; prepare workpapers and reconciliations.

• Maintain fixed assets, depreciation, disposals,  lease accounting.

• Help improve accounting procedures, systems, and internal controls; provide team backup as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• 5 plus years progressive finance/accounting experience; manufacturing finance required.

• SOX experience required; strong Excel required

• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Work Environment

• Primarily an office environment within a manufacturing and recycling plant setting.

• Work near others and often share the same workspace during cross-functional meetings and close cycles.

• Occasionally exposed to sounds and noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable when present in production areas.

• May sometimes work in areas that are not temperature-controlled when supporting plant activities.
