Compensation: $68,000 – $78,000

Position Summary
The Plant Accountant is a key contributor responsible for supporting the financial operations of a high-growth manufacturing facility. This role focuses on plant-level accounting activities including month-end close, inventory tracking, and financial analysis tied directly to production operations.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to partner cross-functionally with operations teams. The Plant Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting decision-making, and maintaining alignment with corporate finance standards.

What You’ll Do
- Execute full month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting
- Manage inventory accounting, including tracking, reconciliation, and variance analysis
- Analyze production and MRO variances and provide insights to improve financial performance
- Maintain accuracy of plant financials and support reporting requirements
- Partner cross-functionally with production, engineering, and inventory control teams
- Support operational decision-making through financial analysis and reporting
- Work within ERP systems (e.g., Lawson, SAP, or similar platforms)
- Utilize Excel extensively for reporting, tracking, and analysis
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate accounting standards
What You Bring
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred or in progress
- 3–5+ years of accounting experience (plant or cost accounting preferred)
- Strong Excel skills (formulas, data analysis, and reporting)
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Lawson, Great Plains, or similar)
- Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing/plant environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and learn new systems and processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing or plant accounting environments
- Background in cost accounting or inventory accounting
- Experience in food, dairy, or aseptic manufacturing industries
- Prior experience partnering with operations or production teams
