Job Summary

• Gathers data and produces daily, weekly and month end reports for management
• Performs reconciliation of bank accounts, intercompany accounts and balance sheet accounts
• Generates most of the month end journal entries. Interact with others to obtain information for month end
• Interacts with other departments such as Sales & Marketing, Operations and Corporate Finance and IT
• Assists with the accuracy of the physical inventory count once per year
• Assists in monitoring and enforcement of policies, procedures and controls designed to safeguard company assets
• Act as a lead amongst the Finance team, providing guidance and advice to team members as required
• Flashing Financial results by noon on the 4th business day of Flash Week
• Completion of government statistical reports
• Knowledge of Microsoft D365 or AX2012 would be an asset

Required Skills

• College diploma or a University Degree in Finance, Commerce or Business (preferred)
• 3+ years of working experience in a JIT manufacturing operation
• Above average PC skills (Excel and Microsoft Outlook) Pivot tables, VLOOKUP's are key
• Detail and deadline oriented
• Strong time management skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with various departments
• Strong leadership abilities
• Reliable and able to work the extra hours if need be
• Quick learner – there is lots of knowledge to absorb
• Comfortable explaining processes to others and doesn’t shy away from advising others of their mistakes.
• Can teach others new ways of doing things or show them how to correct their errors
• Methodical in nature
