Position OverviewPMI is seeking a detail-oriented Tax Administrator I to join our Finance team. This position plays an important role in supporting payroll tax operations by processing tax payments, assisting with tax filings, maintaining compliance-related records, and helping ensure our clients' tax obligations are met accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
- Process daily payroll tax payments and ACH tax files.
- Assist with quarterly and year-end tax preparation activities.
- Complete client tax registrations and conversion-related tax activities.
- Process service terminations and determine outstanding tax liabilities or refunds.
- Perform Social Security verifications and other compliance-related tasks.
- Cross-train within the department and provide backup support as needed.
- Knowledge of federal and state payroll tax laws and procedures.
- Payroll processing experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
