The Payroll department is seeking to hire a casual Payroll supervisor

The Payroll Supervisor is responsible for the administration and end to end processing of a bi-weekly Payroll using Oracle Fusion software ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with legislated requirements.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Supervisor oversees the payroll process/system, and ensures that all policies, procedures and other requirements related to the proper administration of an accurate and timely payroll are met. The Payroll Supervisor remains informed on employment legislation for both provincial and federal and CRA requirements and changes related to payroll.


Responsibilities

Maintain knowledge of current legislation, CAMH policies, Collective Agreements, and database requirements pertaining to earnings and deductions
Liaise with all internal and external partners for payroll and payroll liabilities to ensure payroll accuracy, payroll policies and procedures
Responsible for a wide range of payroll functions related to employment of unionized and non-unionized hourly and salaried employees. Including but not limited to processing ROE’s and assisting with employee’s pay questions and requests.
Maintain confidentiality and privacy of information
Process payroll and manage payroll email in box on a rotating basis
Audit and analyze payroll reports, reconcile payroll information for T4 purposes and payroll liabilities for the general ledger
Prepares third party remittances and various payroll reports.
Validates reviews and reconciles the hours from the timekeeping system to final pay register.
Process payout requests, adjustments, deductions, and garnishments as necessary
Ensure that all payments, deductions, remittances and dues are accurate, submitted on time and are in accordance with Federal and Provincial legislation.

Qualifications

College diploma in Business, Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation, with 3 - 5 years of payroll experience, with in-house payroll processing considered an asset
Strong knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications and demonstrated understanding of in-house HR/Payroll systems / software such as Oracle Fusion & Lawson
Strong organizational skills, including effective time management
Ability to work in a fast paced environment meeting tight deadlines
Sensitivity to the needs of customers with a focus on service excellence
Ability to work effectively in a wide range of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Direct experience with Oracle Fusion payroll software is preferred but not mandatory
Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language is an asset
Compensation:

Hiring Salary Range: $58,287.29$72,859.11 per year (based on qualifications and experience)

Full Salary Range: $58,287.29$87,430.93 per year (reflecting potential growth within the role)
