Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities

- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on schedule using Workday Payroll.
- Review payroll data for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues before payroll is finalized.
- Audit timekeeping records, earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and benefit elections.
- Maintain teammate payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
- Partner with HR, Benefits, Finance, and operational leaders to ensure teammate data changes are processed accurately.
- Respond to teammate payroll inquiries professionally and confidentially.
- Support payroll-related audits and prepare reports as requested.
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and reconciliation.
- Maintain payroll documentation, standard operating procedures, and process improvements.
- Recommend efficiencies and best practices within Workday to improve payroll operations.

Qualifications

- Hands-on experience using Workday Payroll (required).
- Strong understanding of payroll laws, taxes, wage and hour regulations, and payroll compliance
- High attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
