Position Summary

The Payroll Specialist II independently manages payroll processing responsibilities and ensures accurate payroll execution, issue resolution, and reconciliation.

This role requires minimal supervision and strong understanding of payroll processes and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently process payroll transactions and adjustments
• Review timekeeping and compensation data
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies
• Support reporting and reconciliations
• Ensure deadlines are met
• Participate in cross-training and process improvements

• Works independently with high accuracy

• Demonstrates strong payroll knowledge

• Accuracy rate of about 98.5%
• Timely payroll processing

Minimum Qualifications for Considerations:

• High School Education or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum 2 or 3 years experience in payroll processing preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Moderate Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook), 
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Good interpersonal skills; able to work well with wide range of individuals

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting for long periods of time, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, and talking, hearing and visual activity.
• Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds).

Working conditions:

• Normal office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copier/printer/scanners.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm
