Position Role and Responsibilities:
- Processes weekly and biweekly payroll in Paycor software.
- Downloads and maintains payroll reports.
- Verifies payroll register, personnel change report.
- Updates various spreadsheets with payroll information weekly.
- Maintains all employee master records.
- Processes and/or pays all weekly, monthly, quarterly payroll-related payments/filings.
- Verifies all benefit coverages with carriers monthly.
- Enters various accruals in SAP software monthly.
- Maintains vacation and holiday balance spreadsheet weekly and OSHA hours for safety.
- Distributes various hours reports to managers weekly.
- Maintains and submits benefit deferrals and payments weekly.
- Processes yearly Union vacation payout.
- Maintains all manning and rate changes for payroll.
- Maintains benefit websites with all changes.
- Experience with other states payroll/taxes not required, but beneficial.
- Answers all payroll related questions.
- Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Other Duties:
- Aid in payroll reconciliation to general ledger on a monthly-basis.
- Audit and process all benefit-related invoices.
- Serves as general backup for Human Resources.
- Aid in Accounting department as needed.
- Must be able to multi-task in an organized fashion.
- Must be able to communicate with others in a professional manner.
- Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Attention to detail required.
- General filing required.
- Must be able to operate a 10-key calculator.
- Must be able to compose letters.
Required Experience:
- Prior payroll processing experience required.
- General knowledge of payroll, taxes, general ledger, etc.
- General accounting knowledge is a plus.
- Prior experience working in a Union environment helpful.
- Requires interpersonal skills, effective oral and written communication skills, and computer literacy.
- High School Diploma required
- Wear all PPE as required on the plant floor.
- Minimal hazards. General office working conditions.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
