Payroll Specialist

HornBill has a client in search of a Payroll Specialist in Lincoln, Rhode Island (RI). Essential Functions:
- Reconcile and audit payroll
- Research and resolve payroll related posting problems
- Review payroll checks and registers, and prepare check distribution
- Ensure the processing of multistate payroll
- Run and distribute reports
- Perform payroll processing, maintenance, and updates
- Perform other duties as required
- Degree in Accounting or Business
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
- 3+ years of payroll experience
- Experience processing payroll for a multi-state payroll environment
- Knowledge of payroll tax laws, regulations and record keeping functions
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong customer service skills
