Reports to: Manager, Payroll
Purpose:
The Payroll Services Analyst performs accurate processing of a bi-weekly payroll for all employees across assigned offices/departments.
Responsibilities:
- Processes and reviews bi-weekly multi-state payroll using ADP Workforce Now (or similar system) by established deadlines.
- Investigates and corrects payroll discrepancies and errors as well as addressing employee’s pay-related questions and providing accurate payroll information.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Works with Senior Payroll Services Analyst and Payroll Manager on payroll tax set-ups and filings with team.
- Provides Payroll System maintenance as needed.
- Works with Finance and HR to assist with pay period and month end reconciliations as needed.
- Analyze payroll data for variances and errors and perform pre-and post-payroll audits.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Payroll Manager to meet business needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field; may consider high school diploma/GED with equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in payroll processing.
- Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
- Team player with excellent customer service and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Time management skills with the ability to set priorities and work independently.
- Maintains confidentiality and professionalism in representing the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional or home office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets
