Payroll Processor

Reports to: Payroll Manager

Department: Accounting

Location: 5350 Machado Road, Culver City, CA 90230

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Compensation: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour

Office Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the payroll manager, assume responsibility for ensuring the accuracy and completing bi-weekly payroll functions within the Insperity PEO or third-party online payroll platform(s). Manage payroll file system and assist Payroll Manager in payroll reporting and audit preparation.

Qualifications

Education/Licenses/Certifications: Associate degree in a related field required; relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Experience: Two years of payroll processing experience, with Insperity or a similar third-party online platform(s). Knowledgeable of California payroll laws. Nonprofit payroll experience is a plus.

Requirements

Driving is an essential function of this position. Proof of valid California driver’s license, reliable transportation, evidence of state-mandated car insurance, and insurable driving record are required. While driving for work, should a need arise, the employee’s insurance is deemed primary and ECF’s coverage is secondary. Driving Disclaimer- Employees driving for company business must maintain a clean record and operate vehicles safely and responsibly. Company vehicles will be monitored and activity recorded. Violations of the driving policy may result in disciplinary action, including suspension of driving privileges, reassignment, or termination. Provide evidence of a negative TB test initially and every three years thereafter.

Work Environment

Duties are performed in a shared, temperature-controlled office located in a building that houses a school for students (grades K–12 th ) who have varying degrees of learning, behavioral, emotional, and developmental disabilities. Employees may encounter students who are in crisis, exhibiting emotional/psychological distress, or behaving in an aggressive manner. The environment may include loud noise. Some exposure to outside weather conditions when traveling on ECF business (attending events, off-site meetings, etc.).
