- Processing Payroll: Collect and verify employee timesheets, calculate wages, and process payrolls for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payments.
- Maintaining Records: Update and maintain payroll records, including changes in employee status, deductions, and benefits. Ensure that all payroll information is accurate and up to date.
- Issuing Paychecks: Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposit payments, along with earnings statements that detail deductions and other relevant information.
- Resolving Discrepancies: Investigate and resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues raised by employees, providing clear communication and support.
- Customer Service: Supporting Managers with approvals and data inputs, supporting employees with questions and changes to W-4, etc. Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee questions.
- Generating Reports: Create and submit payroll reports summarizing earnings, tax deductions, and leave balances to management and accounting departments.
- Compliance: Collaborate with HR and accounting to ensure compliance with payroll regulations and company policies, including tax withholdings and benefits administration.
- Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality and integrity of employee payroll information, ensuring that sensitive data is handled appropriately.
- Trusted Partner: Support and maintain the trusted partner brand for the HR team
- Act with Integrity: Work collaboratively, meet commitments and apply continual improvement methodologies to all work.
- Other Duties: As assigned or directed by HR leadership.
- 3 – 5 years of payroll experience.
- Technical Proficiency, familiarity with payroll software and Microsoft excel.
- Can perform basic math to ensure accuracy of payroll.
- Knowledge of wage withholding requirements, capable of researching and understanding local and state requirements.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter that will work independently in time-sensitive environment. Ability to multitask in a stressful and fast paced environment with specific deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Paycor is preferred.
- Costpoint experience highly preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Travel: <25%
