Payroll Manager We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to oversee and manage the full-cycle payroll process for a large, multi-entity organization of 1,000+ employees. This role requires deep expertise in payroll operations, strong systems knowledge, and a proactive mindset focused on process improvement and automation. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, motivated to solve problems, and committed to ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution. **Requirement: Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Fayetteville, AR area.

Key Responsibilities

Core Processing & Administration

Manage and oversee the end-to-end payroll process for a large, multi-entity organization (1,000+ employees) across multiple pay groups and multi-state jurisdictions.

Accountable for processing all payroll components, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, imputed income transactions, taxes, and other deductions.

Process payroll for all employee types (hourly, and salaried), including reviewing and importing hours from the time and attendance system, and administering regulatory requirements (e.g., garnishments, tax levies, and support orders).

Ensure accurate and timely processing of new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations in compliance with all regulations.

Lead payroll administration within Ceridian HRIS (Dayforce), including system configuration, audits, and reporting.

Compliance, Controls & Auditing

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and interpret new legislation to optimize best practices and ensure proper pay controls are in place and adhered to at all times.

Develop and maintain comprehensive payroll documentation, policies, and internal controls, including managing internal controls over time and attendance to resolve payroll discrepancies.

Respond to internal and external audit requests by providing supporting records and documentation.

Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive employee information.

Process Improvement & Issue Resolution

Proactively identify system improvements and continuously develop solutions for process efficiencies and automation opportunities to improve productivity and reduce manual work.

Responsible for the timely resolution of all escalated issues and employee inquiries related to pay, researching and resolving problems in a professional manner.

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive payroll processing experience

Proven experience managing payroll for 1,000+ employees

Hands-on experience with Ceridian HRIS (Dayforce preferred)

Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements

Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Demonstrated ability to problem-solve independently and think critically

Strong systems aptitude with the ability to streamline processes and reduce manual work

Advanced Excel and reporting skills preferred

Excellent communication and collaboration skills
