Payroll Manager – Contract (2–3 Months)

Location: Alexandria, VA (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)

Pay Rate: $45–$55/hour

A well‑established organization is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager for a 2–3 month contract engagement. This role will support end‑to‑end payroll operations for a large U.S. employee population and requires hands‑on leadership in a deadline‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute bi‑weekly payroll for approximately 1,500 U.S. employees
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing using Costpoint and ADP
• Review payroll data, audit results, and resolve discrepancies
• Partner with HR and Accounting on payroll changes, reporting, and approvals
• Address payroll inquiries and ensure consistent application of payroll policies
• Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with federal and state regulations

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or Senior Payroll Lead
• Strong hands‑on experience with Costpoint and ADP
• Experience managing payroll for 1,000+ employees
• Solid understanding of U.S. payroll laws and best practices
• Detail‑oriented, reliable, and comfortable working onsite part‑week
• U.S. payroll only (no international payroll required)

Assignment Details

• Duration: 2–3 months
• Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite in Alexandria, VA)
• Payroll Frequency: One bi‑weekly payroll cycle
• Compensation: $45–$55/hour (W2)
