As a Payroll Intern, you will contribute to the smooth operation of administrative and financial activities related to employee management. You will primarily work in Dayforce (DF) and support the Payroll and Human Resources teams to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and efficient processes.***This internship must be completed as part of an academic program. The intern must be registered with a recognized educational institution. Your day-to-day responsibilitiesSupport the administration of new hires and employee records management in DayforceFollow up on missing onboarding information and work permitsGenerate and analyze reports to validate payroll and compliance dataAssist with the management of T4 and Relevé 1 slips, including follow-ups and employeecommunicationsValidate active employees at each payroll cycle and enrollment in group insurance plansAssist with employee terminations (validation of timesheets and approval of initial steps)Process and validate Service Canada requests, as neededFollow up on Manulife beneficiaries and ensure employee records are kept up to date Profile soughtStudent enrolled in a program in Finance, Accounting, or Administration (credited or school recognized internship)Available 4 days per week, Tuesday to FridayDetail-oriented, well-organized, and highly diligentComfortable with digital tools and management systems (Dayforce is an asset)Able to manage multiple follow-ups while maintaining confidentialityStrong written and verbal communication skills What you will experience with usHands-on exposure to payroll and HR administration operationsPractical experience with a recognized HRIS (Dayforce)A structured environment that supports learning and professional rigorA collaborative and supportive teamThe opportunity to develop highly sought-after skills in payroll and compliance
