This role is with our client, a multinational, multi-state healthcare firm that supports employees nationally. Our client is looking for an experienced Director, Payroll to oversee enterprise payroll operations. As the functional payroll specialist for Oracle Payroll, this leader will supervise payroll operations and work closely with HR, Finance, and IT to maximize system performance and promote continual development.
This is ideal for a payroll leader who appreciates striking a balance between systems optimization and operational excellence in a prominent leadership position.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
- Oversee payroll processes for the entire complex, multi-state healthcare firm.
- Lead a payroll company with two payroll managers and about forty indirect team members strategically.
- As Oracle Payroll's business leader, collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT to support continuous system optimization.
- Oversee Oracle Payroll post-go-live tasks, such as payroll validation, quarterly release testing, troubleshooting, and improvement initiatives.
- Encourage projects for continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and payroll process enhancements.
- Throughout several payroll cycles, make sure that payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in compliance.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:
- More than ten years of advanced payroll leadership expertise in a big, complicated company.
It is necessary to have practical knowledge with Oracle Payroll. - Experience supporting Oracle Payroll following implementation
- Experience working with the HRIS and IT departments as a payroll SME or business lead.
- Expertise leading payroll across many states.
- Experience managing payroll teams in an enterprise or shared services setting.
- Strong familiarity with payroll operations, accounting, and compliance.
- Experience in the healthcare sector is highly valued.
- Familiarity with operational transformation and automation of payroll processes.
