Job Description:
Job Title: Payroll Processor
Department: Accounting
FLSA: Non-Exempt
General Function:
Processes payroll every week for Hy-Vee employees and Subsidiary employees. Ensures accurate records for employees’ history and company records.

Reporting Relations:
Accountable and Reports to: Director, Financial Reporting and Payroll Supervisor
Positions that Report to you: None
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Processes hours from stores, non-retail, and subsidiary locations.
- Processes and edits payroll data information from stores and non-retail locations.
- Responds to inquiries from stores.
- Prepares quarterly bonus.
- Processes monthly trainee credits and charges for retail stores.
- Cancels checks or direct deposits when necessary.
- Prepares special bonuses as necessary.
- Processes monthly stock and investment certificate issuance.
- Sorts and packages payroll for delivery to locations.
- Communicates with stores regarding lost checks or returned ACH deposits.
- Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 6 months - 1 year previous related work experience preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of Workday Payroll experience preferred.
- Additional computer training in Excel and Word helpful.
- Six months to one year previous related work experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction.
- Must be physically able to perform sedentary work: occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 10 pounds, and occasionally standing or walking.
- Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
Working Conditions:
The duties of this position are performed in a general office setting. There is weekly pressure to meet deadlines.

Calculator, telephone, copier, printer, Fax, and PC with Microsoft Office programs

Has daily contact with store, office, subsidiary, and Midwest Heritage Bank personnel.
