Payroll Clerk

Centurion Health is proud to be the NEW provider of healthcare services to the Illinois Department of Corrections.

We are currently seeking a full- time Payroll Clerk to join our regional office located in Springfield, Illinois. 

The Payroll Clerk supports the payroll process by reviewing and approving employee time records, assisting with payroll preparation and working closely with the payroll team and site leadership to ensure accurate and timely pay. 

• Partner with site leadership to resolve timekeeping questions and discrepancies.
• Review and approve employee timecards for accuracy and completeness
• Assist payroll team with payroll preparation and processing 
• Respond to basic employee payroll and time related questions. 
• Escalate complex payroll issues to the payroll team as needed.
• Collaborates cross- functionally with HR, payroll and site leadership.

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration.
• Experience with Paycom or similar payroll systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
• High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential payroll information.
