Payroll Assistant (Oracle Cloud / PeopleSoft)

Job Title: Payroll Assistant (Oracle Cloud / PeopleSoft) – FPC/CPP Preferred
Location: New York, NY
Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (35 hours/week)
• Flexible Fridays: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (every other Friday)

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to support end-to-end payroll operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on payroll processing experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to handle sensitive employee data with accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees accurately and on schedule
• Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions (taxes, benefits, garnishments, 401k, etc.)
• Maintain and update employee payroll records in HRIS/payroll systems
• Manage time and attendance data
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Perform payroll reconciliations and support audit activities
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll inquiries
• Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation
• Support accounting and finance teams with payroll reporting and analysis

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of payroll processing experience
• Strong working knowledge of payroll systems (Oracle Cloud, PeopleSoft, ADP, or similar)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• FPC or CPP certification preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
• Experience with garnishments, tax processing, and year-end payroll activities
