Position Summary:
This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, from payroll tasks and employee communication to assisting with office support requests. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, knowledge of Excel, and a commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of payroll and employee information.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Input garnishments accurately and promptly.
- Process requests for wage information and respond to inquiries from relevant institutions.
- Assist with weekly payroll processing as needed and become proficient in ADP Workforce Now to serve as a backup for the Payroll Manager.
- Collaborate with the team to pull reports from the timekeeping system and ADP Workforce Now for pre-payroll audits.
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with payroll policies and procedures.
- Assist in updating and verifying employee information to maintain accurate records.
- Assist in preparing and submitting monthly BLS (Bureau of Labor Statistics) reports.
- Participate in audit requests and provide necessary documentation.
- Communicate effectively with managers and employees via email, addressing inquiries and requests promptly and professionally.
- Support the tracking and administration of employee benefits payments.
- Conduct research as needed to resolve payroll issues.
- Assist in special projects related to payroll and HR as required.
- Handle administrative tasks, including managing Certificates of Insurance.
- Compile a variety of reports as requested by the Finance department.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Position Qualifications:
- Experience in HRIS (Human Resources Information System), such as ADP or Paylocity systems, is a plus but not required.
- Payroll experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional research skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Elevated level of customer service, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality.
- Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels, maybe exposed to secondhand smoke except and varied light levels, including flashing lights. Ability to stand, walk, bend for entire shift.
