Payroll Assistant

• Join a small payroll team supporting 3,000+ employees.
• Report to the Payroll Supervisor and work closely with a Payroll Analyst.
• Systems used: ADP COS (EV6), Workday, and Workforce Software (MyTime).

• Process payroll transactions including regular payroll, terminations, retro pay, bonuses, severance, and one-time payments.
• Maintain and update employee payroll records.
• Archive payroll documentation for audits and compliance.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries via email and phone.
• Run reports, identify discrepancies, and support payroll audits.
• Assist with system updates, testing, and timekeeping support.

• Enter and review payroll data.
• Perform payroll calculations and validations.
• Support payroll processing activities and audits.
• Collaborate with the supervisor and analyst through daily check-ins and peer reviews.

• Learn payroll processes and systems quickly.
• Accurately process payroll and employee data.
• Develop proficiency in company payroll procedures and compliance requirements.

• Managing a complex payroll environment with extensive manual reviews.
• Ensuring compliance with multiple union agreements.
• Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of payroll or related experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently in ambiguous situations.

• Experience with ADP payroll systems (especially ADP COS/EV6).
• Experience with union payrolls.
• Experience processing multi-state payroll.
• CPP certification is a plus but not required.

• Basic understanding of payroll practices, wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and payroll systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
