Payroll Assistant Manager
As the Payroll Assistant Manager with Special School District (SSD), you will help ensure employees are promptly and accurately compensated in accordance with regulations and procedures, building confidence in one of the District's most essential services. Working alongside the Payroll Manager, you will help lead the daily operations of payroll, supporting a dedicated team while maintaining the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency employees depend on. Your attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement will help strengthen payroll processes, support colleagues across the District, and positively impact the health of our organization.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years post-secondary education in accounting or related business field required
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, 941, annual tax returns, and Excel required
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible payroll experience in a high-volume (5,000 or more employees) payroll environment, utilizing an integrated enterprise payroll/HRIS system (such as Lawson, Munis, Oracle, SAP, Workday, Skyward or similar) preferred

- $75,000/year
