The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Payroll and HRIS Intern to join our team for a high-impact learning experience. You will gain hands-on experience processing bi-weekly payroll and managing the UKG HRIS, while developing your technical skills in data analysis and system maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn the end-to-end bi-weekly payroll process and take ownership of it.
- Build custom BI reports, utilize SQL for data extraction, and design data dashboards to support HR and Finance decision-making.
- Troubleshoot payroll issues in close collaboration with the People and Finance department.
- Assist in maintaining the UKG HRIS system data integrity.
- Ad hoc project assignments as time allows

- Hands-on Payroll Lifecycle: Gain end-to-end experience in bi-weekly payroll processing within a high-growth environment.
- HRIS & Data Expertise: Master UKG HRIS administration and translate raw data into actionable insights using SQL and BI reporting tools.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Develop a deep understanding of the intersection between People operations and Finance, bridging data gaps to support leadership decision-making.
- Professional Development: Receive mentorship from experienced HR and Finance professionals, with exposure to real-world HR compliance and data storytelling.
You must be:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.

Strong interest in numbers, root cause analysis, and tax work

A strong work ethic, including the ability to act with discretion and treat all sensitive information as confidential.

Ability to analyze data and synthesize research into a polished, completed product.

A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with a Human Resources Information System (HRIS)

Demonstrated professionalism and integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information.

Available to commit to a part-time internship for a duration of 12 months, required to work on Monday and Tuesdays, with flexibility to work one additional day a week.
Technical Requirements:

Proficiency in SQL and data querying techniques.

Experience or strong interest in Business Intelligence (BI) tools, automation scripts and report building.

Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
