Payroll and HR Specialist

The Payroll and HR Specialist is responsible for accurately processing payroll for both internal staff and traveling employees, supporting compliance with wage laws, assisting with benefits audits, and administering employee incentives. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. The Payroll & HR Specialist will also assist with employee payroll and benefits inquiries, escalating complex issues when needed.

Reports To: Controller

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Responsibilities:

Job Requirements:

Education: Associate or bachelor's degree in business, accounting, human resources or related field is strongly preferred

Experience: 2+ years of Payroll and/or HR experience required

Payroll or HR Designation preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:

Equipment Used: Desktop/laptop; phones; Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, iSolved

Physical Requirements:

This is largely a sedentary role; requiring minimal physical functions including but not limited to walking, standing, sitting as deemed necessary. This position does require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Ability to operate a computer, telephone, copier, and other office equipment.
