Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-driven Payroll & HR Administrator to manage the day-to-day payroll operations and human resources administration across our multiple business entities.
Because we operate in a fast-paced service industry, you won't just be pushing paper-you will be the backbone of our workforce operations. The ideal candidate has strong experience managing complex payrolls (different pay structures, Unions, or varied benefit plans) and possesses a "can-do" attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
- Multi-Entity Processing: Accurately process weekly/bi-weekly payroll for multiple entities using iSolve.
- Time & Attendance: Monitor, verify, and reconcile timesheets, track overtime, and various pay rates.
- Reporting: Generate payroll reports for the finance team and department heads to assist with labor costing and budgeting.
HR Administration
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Manage the lifecycle of all employees, including background checks, I-9 verification, equipment provisioning, and conducting exit interviews.
- Benefits Support: Assist with annual open enrollment, manage monthly benefits billing reconciliations, and serve as the main point of contact for employee benefits questions.
- HRIS Maintenance: Keep our HR Information System meticulously updated with employee status changes, promotions, and compensation adjustments.
- Compliance & Employee Relations: Maintain digital employee files in compliance with labor laws and act as a trusted, accessible resource for employee inquiries regarding policies and pay.
- Manage and maintain files for workers' compensation claims
- ACA Compliance
Qualifications & Skills
To thrive in this role, you should have a mix of technical know-how and adaptability:
- 3+ years of hands-on payroll and HR administration experience
- Proficiency with HRIS/Payroll platforms (e.g., ADP, iSolve) and advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables are your friends).
- Solid understanding of FLSA regulations, payroll taxes, and multi-state compliance.
- Absolute discretion with confidential data, stellar communication skills, and the ability to pivot when priorities shift.
