We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist, Benefits and Payroll who will be responsible for administering employee benefits programs, processing accurate and compliant payroll, and supporting general HR operations across the employee lifecycle. This role serves as a support contact for employees, promoting positive employee experience while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations. This position reports to the Manager, Human Resources and has a dotted line reporting to the Manager, Payroll and Systems

Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
- Process weekly payroll accurately and on time for employees.
- Ensure compliance FLSA, state wages, and hour laws, garnishments, and tax requirements.
- Maintain payroll records, audits, reconciliations, and audits.
- Partner with Finance on payroll reporting, accruals, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans.
- Manage employee enrollments, changes, and terminations in HRIS and vendors systems.
- Serve as primary employee resource for benefits questions and education.
- Coordinate annual open enrollment, including vendor communications and employee materials.
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, and state benefits regulations.
- Reconcile benefit invoices and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
HR Generalist Duties
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files.
- Assist with leave administration (FMLA, disability)
- Support employee relations matters.
- Assist with HR policy administration.
- Prepare HR reports and metrics as requested.
- Support audits, compliance reporting, and internal HR initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, related field or equivalent experience.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of Payroll or Human Resources experience, with HRCI and/or SHRM certification preferred.
- Human Resources principles
- Payroll, multi-state payroll is preferred, but not required
- Section 125 benefits administration
- Excellent technology skills, especially with Microsoft Office
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to train, coach, and motivate team members
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy
- Demonstrated ability to manage and support change efforts
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in difficult situations
