Esquire Law Services is seeking a detail-oriented and service-focused Payroll & Benefits Coordinator to join our Human Resources team.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while also supporting benefit administration, employee enrollments, leaves of absence, and HR operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with data, and takes pride in providing exceptional employee support.
What You'll Do
- Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing for a multi-state workforce
- Audit payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Process employee status changes, compensation updates, and deductions
- Administer employee benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations
- Coordinate open enrollment activities and employee communications
- Assist with 401(k), COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and leave administration
- Reconcile payroll and benefit invoices
- Respond to employee questions regarding pay, benefits, and HR policies
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
- Partner with HR leadership on process improvements and special projects
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of payroll, benefits, HR, or related experience
- Experience working with payroll systems and HRIS platforms
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Multi-state payroll experience is a plus (Paychex experience a plus)
- Benefits administration experience is highly preferred
