THE ROLE:
The Payroll Analyst is responsible for processing payroll accurately and efficiently for a large, multi-state workforce. This role manages payroll transactions, employee data maintenance, payroll reconciliations, and payroll-related inquiries while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. The Payroll Analyst serves as a key liaison between Operations, Human Resources, and Finance to support timely payroll processing and an exceptional employee experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Process payroll from end to end, including timecard validation, employee data maintenance, payroll calculations, deductions, direct deposits, and paycheck distribution
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including new hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, address changes, and direct deposit updates
- Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and variance analysis to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and support government requests such as wage verifications and garnishment orders
- Develop and deliver payroll-related training, resources, and process documentation to support employee understanding and compliance
This is a hybrid position, coming into the El Segundo office 1x per quarter.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, Business, Human Resources, or a related field
- 1–2+ years of payroll, accounting, finance, or related experience
- Experience processing payroll and maintaining confidential employee information preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Knowledge of payroll systems, payroll compliance, and reporting preferred

$27.34 - $30.42 USD
