The Jim Pattison Auto Group is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team! In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate, timely payroll for your assigned dealership locations, supporting employees with payroll-related inquiries, and helping to ensure compliance with payroll legislation. Schedule: This is a full-time, permanent position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during the Group Office's regular business hours. Process payroll accurately and on time for salaried and hourly employees Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data integrity Calculate wages, overtime, deductions, and taxable benefits as required Prepare payroll reconciliations and support month-end and year-end reporting Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, tax requirements, and company policies Prepare and submit Records of Employment (ROEs) Process payroll documentation such as CPT30 elections and T2200 Declarations Complete payroll-related ICBC and WCB forms Assist with audits and recommend improvements Respond to all employee payroll enquiries with professionalism, care, and timeliness Collaborate with the HR and Finance departments for payroll purposes Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information

What We Are Looking For

At least 2 years of full-cycle payroll experience Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is required Previous experience in the automotive industry is strongly preferred Previous experience processing payroll in a multi-provincial or multi-site organization is considered an asset Experience with Ceridian Dayforce is considered an asset High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), with strong Excel skills Thorough knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation (BC, AB, MB) Working knowledge of General Ledger (GL) accounting and payroll-related journal entries Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion Excellent math and data-entry skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and organize tasks while meeting strict deadlines Excellent customer service skills, with positive and courteous telephone etiquette Excellent written and spoken communication skills Ability to interact professionally with employees, colleagues, and third parties
