Summary: Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Administrator compiles payroll data to maintain payroll records and processes bi-weekly payroll and pay adjustments.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm (40 hours per week)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with processing the organization's bi-weekly payroll in an accurate and timely manner.
- Generate and audit payroll reports for accuracy and make manual adjustments before finalizing payroll for processing.
- Act in compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and regulatory requirements.
- Process and record pay adjustments from verification forms.
- Set up new employee schedules in the payroll system.
- Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and enter information into payroll software system.
- Track Paid Time Off including, Earned Time, Personal Time, and Sick Leave, for accuracy.
- Conduct verification of employment.
- Train managers and employees in connection with payroll matters and the payroll software.
- Review biweekly payroll manuals, voids, stop payments and direct deposits.
- Maintain employees' confidence and protect operations by keeping payroll and employee information confidential.
- Compile payroll data such as hours worked, retroactive amounts, taxes, insurance, and union dues to be withheld, and employee identification number, from time sheets and other records.
- Support year end audits, processing of W2s, and internal and external payroll audits.
- Review wages computed and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
- Record data related to employee transfers between departments.
- Prepare payroll reports after payroll is processed and periodically prepare reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions including allocation reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience
- High School Diploma required, bachelor's degree preferred.
- One to three years of experience in a payroll department and with payroll systems is required.
Required Skills/Knowledge
- Experience with Microsoft 365 required.
- Previous experience with iSolved preferred.

The pay range listed for this position is the hourly rate range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time.
