Job description
EXP Group is looking Payroll Coordinator to manage weekly payroll for its warehouse personnel. This role requires precision, discretion, and a working knowledge of payroll systems and compliance requirements. You’ll play a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, while also supporting payroll-related inquiries and maintaining up-to-date records.Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for hourly employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Review and verify timekeeping records; resolve discrepancies and ensure proper approvals.
- Calculate wages, overtime, and applicable adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Stay informed on payroll legislation changes and apply updates as needed.
- Maintain employee payroll records, including tax forms and direct deposit details.
- Generate payroll reports for management, accounting, and audit purposes.
- Assist with year-end reporting, including W-2s and 1099s.
- Respond to employee questions related to pay, deductions, and taxes in a timely manner.
- Support employee understanding of payroll processes and assist with troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments on compensation-related matters.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of payroll experience; multi-state payroll experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with payroll systems; Paychex experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Discretion in handling confidential payroll information.
