The Veterinary Medical Center at The Ohio State University is searching for a Patient Accounting Coordinator to provides billing, collection, patient census, and auditing functions within the Veterinary Health System across multiple locations; responsibilities include providing customer service (internal and external) related to all aspects of billing; prepares deposits and change order; account maintenance in hospital information system; timely bill audits to ensure capturing of all fees related to medical procedures; various reconciliations, works with patient care and customer service departments to ensure complete billing, account statement review, corrections, and mailing; other duties as assigned.

This is a full-time position with work hours Monday-Fridays on 1st

shift, 8AM-5PM; position subject to a background check.

The targeted hiring range for this position is $19.28 - $25.19.

Additional Information:

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be required. Associate degree in relevant field may be preferred. 2 years of relevant experience required. 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.

Physical Qualifications:

Pushing/pulling/lifting 20-30lbs., exposure to hazardous medications; exposure to animal dander and zoonotic diseases daily; sitting/staring at computer screens for long periods of time; works long periods of visual concentration and attention; repetitive hand motions with computer and calculator.
