Parts Pricing Analyst

SMS Equipment is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Parts Pricing Analyst to support pricing accuracy, governance, and profitability across the organization. This role plays a critical part in day-to-day pricing operations, working closely with branches, corporate teams, and suppliers to ensure parts pricing is accurate, compliant, and aligned with supplier agreements and company pricing strategies.

Work Location: Acheson, AB 
Salary: $65,000 to $75,000 per annum 
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – providing the flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days 
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm 

What You’ll Do

• Manage daily parts pricing requests and shared inbox activities, including price updates, customer-specific pricing, discount setup, and program pricing. 
• Maintain pricing accuracy and data integrity across company systems, ensuring alignment with supplier agreements and master records. 
• Process pricing updates, markup changes, and pricing adjustments in accordance with company policies and business requirements. 
• Review, investigate, and resolve pricing discrepancies, variances, and margin impacts; escalate issues as required. 
• Conduct audits and validation checks to ensure pricing compliance and data accuracy. 
• Support branches and internal stakeholders by responding to pricing inquiries and resolving pricing-related issues. 
• Act as a liaison between branches, corporate teams, and vendors to resolve discrepancies and maintain pricing consistency. 
• Support supplier programs, promotions, and regional pricing initiatives. 
• Identify opportunities to improve pricing processes, efficiency, and workflows, including automation and continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Assist with reporting, analysis, and special projects related to pricing and margin performance. 

What You Bring 

The successful candidate will bring experience in a related analytical or operational role and demonstrate strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment. Additional qualifications include: 

• Strong Excel proficiency, including data analysis, reporting, and data manipulation. 
• Proven ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in transactional environments. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies. 
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across operational and corporate teams. 
• Ability to work independently while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders. 
• A process-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement. 

Assets: 

• Experience in heavy equipment parts, industrial distribution, or a similar environment. 
• Understanding of supplier pricing structures, rebates, promotions, and foreign exchange impacts. 
• Experience working with ERP systems and pricing management tools. 
• Exposure to process improvement, workflow optimization, or automation initiatives.
