Job Description
ProspectBlue is working with a manufacturing client in Richmond to hire a Part-Time Cost Accountant. This role will support cost tracking, inventory, and basic month-end processes while partnering with operations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain standard costs (materials, labor, overhead)
- Analyze cost variances and report findings
- Assist with inventory and cycle counts
- Support month-end close and cost reporting
- Review bills of materials (BOMs) for accuracy
- Help identify cost savings opportunities
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of cost accounting experience (manufacturing preferred)
- Strong understanding of standard costing and variances
- Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Business Central, NAV preferred
- Solid Excel skills
- Able to work independently in a part-time role
