The Accounting Coordinator position is a hybrid role that will reside at the Palm Beach Gardens, FL site. This is a Part-Time position.
The role of the Accounting Coordinator is to perform a variety of routine and non-routine accounting and clerical functions in accordance with accounting policies and procedures. This role supports Pathology Finance team.
Responsibilities
Administrative
- Perform administrative duties for facility (pay local invoices, monitor/purchase supplies, arrange for services, maintain P-Card, etc.)
- Input purchase requisitions for office and offsite individuals
- Process/redirect mail including account coding of miscellaneous cash receipts
- Work with vendors to ensure accurate billing of invoices and payment status
- Handle ‘live check’ paperwork and submit for deposit
- Perform additional duties and assist with other projects/department needs upon request from management
Finance
- Generate, assemble and distribute presentations/reports in both Excel and Power Point
- Assist with fixed assets and various capital purchase record keeping (template preparation, spend tracking, physical inventory review)
- Receive, research, and respond to employee inquiries regarding general ledger expenditure postings
- Code invoices for processing and obtain appropriate approvals based on Authorization Matrix
- Assist with month end reporting packages and other pre/post close items
- Assist with daily and monthly volume reporting
- Preparation of Journal Entry and reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts
- Perform additional duties and assist with other projects/department needs upon request from management
Qualifications
Education Preferred:
- Academic Associates degree or equivalent college credits
Work Experience:
- 1 to 3 years in accounting related field preferred
Other:
- Strong computer skills including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of Oracle, Essbase, Power BI a plus
- Demonstrated analytical abilities
