Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Entry-Level Bookkeeper / Office Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with foundational bookkeeping experience who is looking to grow their accounting and administrative skills in a professional office environment.
The successful candidate will support daily bookkeeping functions, maintain accurate financial records, assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, and provide general office administrative support as needed. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–2 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related experience preferred
- Experience with data entry and financial recordkeeping
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
Bookkeeping & Accounting Support
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Enter and maintain financial data in accounting systems
- Document and monitor financial transactions accurately
- Prepare, organize, and file financial records and supporting documentation
- Reconcile company accounts and identify discrepancies
- Review and verify accounting data for accuracy
- Assist with tax payments, filings, and related documentation
- Support staff accountants and finance team members as needed
- Perform high-volume data entry with a high level of accuracy
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional office spaces as needed
- Monitor inventory and order office supplies and equipment, as needed
- Track and assist with office operations budgets, as needed
- Serve as a point of contact for visitors, vendors, and external partners, as needed
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries, as needed
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and company events, as needed
- Assist with general administrative and operational tasks as assigned, as needed
