Night Audit Supervisor

NIGHT AUDIT SUPERVISOR

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• � Thorough knowledge of all front office and guest services department operations and individual job requirements
• Focus on financial results within the department, implement upselling strategies aligned with hotel goals
• Experience with handling complaints and ensuring resolutions are identified for guest challenges
• Experience with handling emergencies in a professional and educated manner
• Conduct audits, reporting and organization duties in line with financial and company procedures
• Interview and assist in making hiring decisions
• Manage all scheduling and training programs of front desk staff/overnight staff
• Monitor associate performance and encourage improvement
• Payroll administration for department personnel
• Ensure effective departmental communication and information systems through logs, department meetings, and hotel meetings
• Read correspondence, and direct staff according to information obtained from other departments
• Create and nurture a hotel environment that emphasises motivation, empowerment, teamwork and a passion for providing service
• Be readily available and approachable to all team members
• Take proactive approaches when dealing with associate concerns
• Always extend professionalism and courtesy to team members
• Celebrate and foster decisions that result in successes as well as failures
• Be readily available/ approachable for all guests
• Take proactive approaches when dealing with guest concerns; follow property specific second effort and recovery plans
• Ensure staffing levels allow team members to exceed guest needs
• Always extend professionalism and courtesy to guests
• Ability to handle cash and credit transactions
• Monitor front office systems and technology

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 3 years experience in a hotel front office supervisor position; overnight experience including night audit
• Previous experience working with PMS system (Opera/OnQ)
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well in an environment with time constraints
• Ability to troubleshoot effectively
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills, performing work accurately and efficiently
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both oral and written Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must maintain a professional image and demonstrable leadership skills
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs; sit, stand, walk for an extended period of time
• Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, overnight and public holidays

Salary: CI$8.00- CI$12.00 per hour + gratuities
