Introduction
A growing bookkeeping firm serving small to mid-sized businesses is seeking an in-house Bookkeeper to join its team. While the role supports leadership functions, it is best suited to a mid-level professional who is confident in their skills, ready to take ownership of their work, and eager to grow into a senior or lead position over time.
This role combines advanced bookkeeping responsibilities with client interaction and internal coordination, offering clear room for professional growth as the firm expands
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform advanced bookkeeping for multiple small to mid-sized business clients
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping up to trial balance
- Maintain accurate financial records, reconciliations, and month-end processes
- Prepare and review financial reports for clients and management
- Communicate directly with clients regarding financial queries, reporting, and account matters
- Coordinate workflows with internal staff and support junior team members as needed
- Assist with general office administration and process improvement initiatives
- Ensure deadlines and quality standards are consistently met
- Work across multiple accounting platforms and client environments
Desired Experience & Qualification
- 3–5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within an accounting or bookkeeping firm
- Experience working with NetSuite in a bookkeeping, accounting, or financial administration capacity
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Solid working knowledge of Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
- High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
- Confident communicator with a professional client-facing manner
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
