Job Title: Accounting Associate, Accounts Receivable (AR)

Position Overview

Yasufuku USA, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Associate to join our team. This role focuses on accounts receivable (AR) management, including bank statement reconciliation, invoicing, and collections. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate records are maintained.
• Issue invoices and accurately post bank receipts to the appropriate accounts.
• Monitor and manage delinquent customer accounts, ensuring timely collections.

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist with special accounting projects as needed.
• Provide support and communication across departments, including cross-training colleagues to promote efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting procedures.
• Prepare and maintain data reports as required by the department.

Position Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Ability to use a computer keyboard effectively.
• Proficient in operating a multi-line telephone.

Educational Requirements

• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong math competency is required.
• Excellent reading comprehension and attention to detail are essential.

Experience & Skills

• 2-4 years of accounts receivable or relevant accounting experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.
• Previous experience working with PC-based accounting software is a plus.

Supervision

This position is directly supervised by the Accounting Manager.
