Medical Insurance Billing Specialist
Location: Tampa, FL
Overview:
Our healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Medical Insurance Billing Specialist to support accurate billing, coding, and documentation processes. This full-time role works closely with physicians and third-party vendors to ensure compliant clinical documentation and efficient claim processing in a professional weekday schedule environment.
Position Offers:
- Monday–Friday schedule, No nights or weekends
- Competitive Compensation:$55,000–$65,000 annually (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:
- Review physician documentation for completeness and billing accuracy prior to chart closure
- Ensure CPT coding aligns with clinical documentation and payer requirements
- Serve as the liaison between physicians and third-party billing vendors
- Process and manage medical billing for personal injury and motor vehicle accident cases
- Support compliant billing practices related to surgical procedures involving spine and extremities
- Verify Medicare billing accuracy and adherence to regulatory guidelines
- Identify and resolve documentation or coding discrepancies efficiently
- Maintain accurate patient billing records and communication workflows
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of medical billing experience
- Experience with motor vehicle accident and personal injury billing cases
- Knowledge of surgical billing for spine and extremity procedures
- Strong understanding of Medicare billing requirements and processes
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and billing partners
