Medical Accounts Receivable Clerk
Location: Plano, TX
Overview:
Our healthcare organization is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Accounts Receivable Clerk to support billing and revenue cycle operations in an outpatient setting. This role focuses on payment posting, accounts receivable follow-up, and cross-training within the billing department. The position offers a consistent weekday schedule and a comprehensive benefits package.
Position Offers:
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- No weekends
- Competitive Compensation: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:
- Post payments accurately and in a timely manner
- Work accounts receivable to resolve outstanding balances
- Support billing department functions and cross-training initiatives
- Review accounts for discrepancies and ensure proper reconciliation
- Communicate with payers regarding claim and payment issues
- Assist with billing workflows and financial documentation
- Maintain accuracy in all billing and revenue cycle activities
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing or accounts receivable
- Familiarity with billing processes and payer follow-up
- Medisoft experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills
