About the Role

Market Risk Manager, ANZ Europe S.A, you will provide independent oversight of traded and non-traded market risks across ANZ Europe S.A., ensuring risks are appropriately identified, measured, monitored and managed in line with the Bank's risk appetite and regulatory requirements. The role supports Treasury, Balance Sheet Management and Markets businesses through effective risk governance, challenge and partnership.

You will oversee market risks arising from banking book and trading book activities, including interest rate risk, liquidity risk, foreign exchange risk and traded market risk across multiple asset classes. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Treasury, Markets, Finance and Risk, you will help enable sustainable business growth while maintaining strong risk management practices and regulatory compliance.

What will your day look like?

As a Market Risk Manager, ANZ Europe S.A, you will;

• Provide independent oversight of traded and non-traded market risks across ANZ Europe S.A.
• Act as the primary risk partner for Treasury and Balance Sheet Management activities.
• Oversee Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB), non-traded foreign exchange risk and liquidity risk exposures.
• Oversee Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) methodologies and associated risk management processes.
• Monitor market risks across FX, interest rate, derivatives, futures and securities trading activities.
• Review and challenge risk metrics including VaR, stress testing, limits and profit and loss attribution.
• Support new product approvals, business initiatives and strategic change activity.
• Contribute to Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process (ILAAP), Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP), Recovery Planning and other regulatory deliverables.
• Ensure market risk policies, limits and governance frameworks remain effective and fit for purpose.
• Support compliance with APS116, APS117 and relevant French and European regulatory requirements including the Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR).
• Prepare and present market risk reporting and governance papers to senior stakeholders and committees.
• Foster strong relationships across Markets, Treasury, Finance and Risk to support a robust risk culture.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Extensive experience in Market Risk, Treasury, Liquidity Risk or Financial Markets.
• Strong understanding of both traded and non-traded market risk frameworks.
• Demonstrated knowledge of FX, interest rates, derivatives, futures and securities products.
• Experience monitoring VaR, stress testing, limit frameworks and market risk capital.
• Understanding of IRRBB, liquidity risk and Funds Transfer Pricing methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of market risk models and associated model risk considerations.
• Experience supporting regulatory engagements, audits and governance activities.
• Knowledge of prudential and market risk regulations, including CRR, APS116 and APS117.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to engage effectively at senior levels.
• Strong analytical capability and sound judgement in assessing complex risk issues.
• Experience working within European financial markets or international banking environments.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Science or another quantitative discipline.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is Euro 120,000 - 135,000 annual

This range is determined by the job, location and level of expertise required for this specific role. The final salary offered will consider your capabilities, skills and knowledge.
