Position Overview
As a key leader of medium-to-large sized indirect spend categories, the Manager Procurement - Corporate is accountable for the development and implementation of robust sourcing strategies that link to core business deliverables while leveraging the marketplace and supplier community.They will perform end to end strategic sourcing and category management functions: analyzing third party spend to identify opportunities, integrating category strategies, and executing the sourcing process (including but not limited to RFx, negotiations, contracting activities).
They will develop relationships and provide strategic category direction to business partners and cross functional teams.
This person will work across other pyramids to drive value and provides guidance as well as ensure adherence to procurement processes and policy compliance across the enterprise.
A Day in the Life
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and implement sourcing strategy for medium-to-large sized categories, including managing the sourcing (RFx, RFI, RFP, reverse auction, negotiations) and evaluations processes, using appropriate support tools to drive results and deliver savings
Develop and execute sourcing strategies and events for assigned spend areas (Finance, HR, IT Corporate Systems, Legal, Marketing, and Strategy), including managing contract negotiation process (pricing, key terms, etc.) and measuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other performance metrics
Perform advanced analysis to support the Procurement and Sourcing process, e.g., understanding current potential savings opportunities, pricing models, and scenarios
Maintain and manage existing contracts as well as the contract review process using contract management software, Coupa
Interface with relevant business partners (VP, Director, and Manager levels) for procurement support, including jointly setting procurement priorities and executing continuous cost and performance improvement strategies
Maintain regular communication with suppliers and work collaboratively to resolve ongoing issues and to promote continuous improvement/cost reductions on a proactive basis
Supervision: 1 Direct report.
You'll Come With
- Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Accounting, Finance or Business. MBA is a plus.
- 5-7 years of experience of indirect IT procurement or similar analytical role (finance, merchandising, planning)
- At least 3 years of vendor management or contract management/negotiation
- Firm understanding of procurement best practices and emerging trends
- Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) is a plus
- Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) is a plus
- Certified Professional Purchasing Consultant (CPPC) is a plus
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus
- A strong understanding of negotiation techniques, strategies, and possesses the skills required to execute
- An in-depth knowledge of the sourcing process
- Must have a strong command and understanding of fundamental analytical techniques, and has the ability to accurately draw conclusions and interpret data
- Experience with managing high value (multi-million dollar), high visibility sourcing initiatives
- Demonstrated contract negotiation experience across a range of services and commodities
- Experience with interpreting and drafting contractual terms
- Experience with developing and implementing successful cost saving initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen understanding of relevant cost drivers
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams in achieving or beating challenging goals
- Procurement systems knowledge, specifically Coupa, is a plus

Compensation Range: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00
