Position Description
To plan, organize, staff, manage and control one or more accounting function and process for UAB. To assist in developing, recommending and overseeing the systems, policies and procedures to ensure effective management of accounting functions within the University. To prepare a variety of special and recurring analyses and reports, and to distribute results to Financial Management members and other university stakeholders. To cooperate with auditors conducting audits, to comply with funding agencies requests, and to adhere to reporting deadlines set by internal and external entities.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or a related field and seven (7) years of related experience OR a Master's degree in Accounting, Business or a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work may NOT substitute for education requirement.
